I finished reading this book about one week ago. Since then I've been bugging my husband to read it because I want to discuss it with him! Lucifer's Flood is a great read, party because there are many controversial topics; Nephilim, Free Will, God's weakness, Fallen Angel who may not have deserved punishment, and the creation of the world and what happened before Creation. These topics keep the reader drawn in. It is written from the position of a fallen angel's journal.
Questions that I need answered or points I wish to discuss about this book:
1. Who is the mysterious man who brought Dr. Yale the ancient scrolls? My prediction: He is the fallen angel. The one who wrote the scrolls.
2. Point to ponder: The angel's obsession with Free Will and his desire for man to be stripped of it. He constantly questions God's desire for man to choose Him of his own accord. The angel believes that if he had not had Free Will, he would never have gone against God in the first place and would still be with Him in heaven.
3. Satan's desire for God to abide by His main rule: The two can only influence earth through humans. -"Is it legal? Can He do that?" Satan bellowed.- When Satan saw that God had confused the languages of the people.
4. Why does the fallen angel consider Adam and anyone else who trusts God and obeys him to be "simple?" -Blind faith sort of concept.-
I absolutely LOVE this book and highly recommend it. I give it a 10!
I can't wait to read the second book of the series: The Deliverer
-It is that part of God's nature I cannot understand. He created all there is and all there will be, and He made it perfect. Then, for no reason anyone can explain, He programmed in a fatal flaw. Into every intelligent life form, God deposited the ability to defy its Creator. Can someone help me understand why this was a good idea?
